Sync P6 clock to Cubase/DAW

Post by Tonato17 » Mon Dec 28, 2015 6:00 pm

Hi Guys,

I ve been trying to sync the clock of the p6 to the clock of my DAW (cubase 8 ), so the arpeggiator time, delays, etc, respond to the main tempo in my DAW.

I've tried going to Globals/Midi clock. and set it to OUT.
In Clock port its Nid (MIDI)
and the p6 is connected with midi cables to the sound card.

Its not working, I might be doing something wrong. When I press apr on the P6 nothing happens...

Any ideas or advice?

Many thanks!!

Hi , first of all you need to make sure that the p6 global/midi clock is set on "in" or "nSS", That already should do the job, just in case on Cubase go into
top menu , Transport/project sinchronyzation setup , keep it selected on internal timecode and in the midi clock destination select the midi port you using for the P^, in your case select the soundcard. You can also select send midi clock in stop mode, so the p6 will be in sync even when you not press play on cubase. If you have latency reduce the buffer from your sound card, hope it helps
