Random LFO shape bug!?

Post by Lectrojape » Sat Oct 17, 2015 11:49 pm

Anyone else notice the LFO acts a bit odd when set to sync using the random shape? All the other shapes work as expected but the random LFO is much, much slower than the others! Sometimes it doesn't work at all and I need to restart the master clock for it to begin functioning again. Something seems wrong with it. It triggers at a normal rate when not synced but as soon as I engage sync it slows right down or quits working at all!? hmmm....

I saw someone post about this on gearsluts and ran my own tests. no problem at my end

bpm sync is being done LogicPro9>MotoMidi128>prophet
here's an audio file of the quick test I did.
logic pro is playing the two midi notes repeated at 130bpm.
then I turn on the arpeggio, you can hear that sync'ed
back to normal
then I turn on the LFO shape square affecting the high pass, you can hear that sync'ed
back to normal
then I turn on the LFO shape random affecting the high pass, you can hear that sync'ed.

Here's some spectograph screenshots, you can see all the changes happen tight following the grid division (that I set to 130bpm)
