Arp latch + hold = not working correctly

Post by scd » Thu Aug 20, 2015 6:08 am

Create a basic program
Turn on the arpeggiator
Turn Arp Latch to on
Turn on Hold
Press a few keys and let them go: the arp is running. So far so good.
However, with pressing the next key or keys you reset the MIDI clock. That is not logical, since "Hold" is set to on. With that function I expect the arp to keep running "in sync" with its inital tempo, like it does when Arp Latch mode is not set to on.
This makes the Arp Latch function basically useless. :(
The same thing happens when starting a step sequence and then changing keys.

Hopefully this can be fixed.

Ahem, how do you switch on Hold? I've had the P2 about a week and can't find a control or menu item for this!

Oh there!! Would have been helpful if the manual section on the arp had mentioned this. Thanks very much.

@scd I agree about the clock resetting when you play new notes. That's not logical at all!
