Re: Feature Request for Prophet 12

Exactly how many commercial synthesisers have the source code provided with them then? I really don''t get this "Open Source" cry from people, do they expect the source code for their Car, their Xbox, their TV, their DAWs they use, plugin code, etc, etc. Madness I know...we can debate about it (in t...

Re: Prophet 12 bricked after running OS 1.3 update

You are not the only one to have done this, luckily when I did it I did not brick the machine.

Really the screensaver should be disabled when it is doing an update.

Re: Feature Request for Prophet 12

As a SW engineer do you also give away for free all the code you produce?

Re: Can a Prophet 12 do experimental?

Thanks for the great posts. I appreciate it. Part of my process in buying a synths is to vet them. This is one of the ways. First, let me say I have currently no interest in a modular. The basic reasons are that I can do pretty much anything that modules do with my hardware and software. Second, no...

These are really good: http://www.midisolutions.com/prodevp.htm

If you need more power they do an expanded one as well: http://www.midisolutions.com/prodepp.htm

Re: Working with Daw, how to sync p12's lfo and daw's tempo?

If it says No Clock then it is Logic not sending the clock to the P12. In logic, use menu: File->Project Settings->Synchronisation Then click the Midi tab, then set the transmit to to the P12. Once this is set and you press play in logic clock will be transmitted to the P12 and you will see the corr...

Does the BPM readout on the P12 match the host BPM?

Re: OS with 0-127 on all parameters? For better MIDI sequencer compatibility.

Hi, I'm not totally sure what is going on with your setup there. If I set midi send and receive on the P12 to CC then the range of the filter is 0-127. Here this range of 127 covers the entire filter range when sent from an external device to the P12 the 0-127 is mapped to 0-164, as you say the incr...

That's the beta version, try the release version 1.1.0 from the main DSI site. I think that should fix your problem.

I thought the problem was only with the beta version of the P2 OS, what version do you have loaded?

No problem :)

If it is still doing it with the attack lengthened then I would say there is a problem somewhere.

DSI will sort you out their support is really good.

Re: Annoying click on amp envelope

That is because they either reset the phase of the oscillator or have slow envelope attack, most likely slow envelope attack.

The envelope attack on the Prophet can bet set very fast, a simple solution is to increase the attack time.

I don't think I can say this any more times so good luck!

No problem, what exactly didn't work maybe I have the wrong end of the stick?

Do you have maybe a link to a sound that is like the effect you want that I can listen to?

Re: Annoying click on amp envelope

The click is caused by the attack not the decay, as I said on the other forum if you have free running oscillators and a very fast attack you will get this on any synth. Try increasing the attack a little if it annoys you. Any synth that doesn't do this is either reseting the phase of the oscillator...

Re: High pitched hissing sound

Can you post a pic your analyser here and I will have a look. What version of the OS have you got, the most recent beta? There were fixes for the 11K issue in one of the newer versions (i can't remember if it was the beta) which lower the level of it quite a bit, some people still required replaceme...
